This paper explores how the use of information and communication technology (ICT) can help students learn and improve their English writing. The design and the implementation of effective online tasks are elaborated, with detailed examples, in this paper. Although there are some constraints in enhancing English writing through ICT, the success of online writing tasks consolidated ICT's position in English writing. The results of the research reflected that online writing tasks could enhance students' English learning motivation and writing performance.
