The issue of ethics permeates every facet of organization administration, including educational institutions of learning. School administrators and managers are often confronted with problems such as ethical dilemmas and distress, among others, which stare them in the face when taking critical decisions in the day-to-day administration of the school. Such problems sometimes lead to frustration, anger, and perplexity, which in turn affects their overall performance. This paper, therefore, has discusses various ethical issues facing the Nigerian educational system as they affect the school administrators (i.e., principals and head teachers) and the institution’s learners. The ethical dimensions of government policies on various aspects of education are also discussed and analysed in this paper using specific case studies. The paper concludes that ethical considerations are very crucial to formulation and implementation of education policies in the country.
