This paper, which is part of a broader personal research on the issue, aims at raising awareness on the crucial role teachers have in helping students to learn about themselves and in teaching them to learn how to learn. It is a skill that once acquired can improve the quality of life of the individuals in a considerable way, leading them to true freedom. The research aims at exploiting the issue through the relevant connection existing between some principles of NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) and the teaching of a language/foreign language.
