Anita Hernandez is a former elementary school teacher and an assistant professor at California Polytechnic State University working in teacher education and professional development. She earned her Ph.D. in Language, Literacy, and Culture at Stanford University. She is director of the English Language Acquisition Program, a Title 3 Federal Grant.
