To help students develop adequate conceptions of the nature of science and technology, and scientific inquiry has been one of the important objectives of science and technology education. For the effective teaching and learning of the nature of science and technology, it is important to investigate what the learners already know about the nature of science and technology. We studied the conceptions of Rwandan students about the nature of science and technology. In this study, we identified several common misconceptions of Rwandan students about the nature of science and technology. If we want to improve significantly students’ learning of science and technology, it is indispensable to change their unfavourable views and beliefs about the nature of science and technology. We discussed in detail some suggestions for improvement of conceptions among students and teachers about the nature of science and technology.
