The presentation deals with the integration and assessment of values into the graduate and undergraduate education curriculum. Areas that will be addressed included the identification and definition of a values-based curriculum, assessment criteria, infusion of values into school and department philosophy, and a look at the infusion process. Accreditation issues dealing with value infused programs will be discussed. The primary focus and outcome of the presentation will be the importance of personal values integration to serve as a moral compass, safety net; and insurer of professional ethical decision making in undergraduate and graduate education majors.

Dr. Walker holds a B.S. degree in Elementary Education, a M.Ed. in Education Administration and Supervision and a Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Environmental Education. She has taught students in Primary, Elementary, and Secondary Schools as well as undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Walker has served as chair of the undergraduate education department for two years and has been a faculty member of Saint Leo University for four years.
