As a teacher, Marilyn has worked with learning difficulties students of all ages for twenty years. She has returned to the role of a full time student in order to investigate the literacy acquisition of workers with learning difficulties. Having consulted with teachers in Sweden, Malaysia and Russia as well as Australia she finds the learners experience universal and surmises that the solutions are as well.
