For the past few years, Professor Diana Masny has been developing a conceptual framework for multiple literacies. Her research in that field has attracted the attention of several government and paragovernment organizations. She has authored books, chapters of books and articles in scientific journals. She has obtained grants from many different provincial ministries and school boards. Last year, she and her colleagues in the Faculty of Education, University of Ottawa, set up an educational research unit in multiple literacies.
