An Online Tutorial for French as Second / Foreign Language
We present the technological development of an intelligent tutorial for French learning as a second or foreign language based on a cognitiviste approach of language acquisition evolving with reading skills.

Lise Duquette is a full professor at the Second Language Institute at the University of Ottawa. She is the director of a research group in language engineering, which involves engineers, a psycholinguist, linguists and a specialist in language assessment and evaluation.
Claude St-Jacques has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Université du Québec à Montréal. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Interactive Language Technologies Group at NRC and a part-time professor in Philosophy at the University of Ottawa. His main interests are in logic (particularly in fuzzy logic), cognitive science, philosophy of the mind and epistemology. He is presently working on flexible reasoning and soft computing of an online tutorial for French as second or foreign language.
