Michelann Parr teaches at Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. Courses currently taught include: Language and Literacy, Outdoor and Experiential Education, Kindergarten, and Special Education. Prior to teaching in the Faculty of Education, she taught elementary education in a variety of placements including: Early French Immersion, Kindergarten, Early Literacy Intervention, and Special Education. She has a B.A. (Hons.) (Psychology), B.Ed., and M.Ed. and is currently pursuing doctoral studies at McGill University in Montreal.
