Dr. Lourdes Sanchez-Lopez

Dr Sanchez is Assistant Professor of Spanish and Foreign Language Education, University of Alabama at Birmingham (Ph.D. in TESOL and Applied Linguistics, University of Jaén, Spain). She is currently the Director of the Introductory Spanish and Spanish for Specific Purposes programs at UAB. Her main research interests are Second Language Acquisition, teaching through technology and Spanish for Specific Purposes. Dr Sánchez teaches Foreign Language Methodology, Applied Linguistics, Spanish Phonetics and Phonemics, Spanish Culture, Spanish for Health Professionals and Business Spanish. She is the co-creator and developer of the Transnational Classroom©.
