After teaching in an inner city magnet school for 11 years I chose to return to college for my Doctorate degree. I have attended both a Historically Black College(HBCU) and a Historically White College for my BS, and MS and returned to an HBCU for my doctorate. My research area of interest is in science education with minority students at the post secondary level. My dissertation work involves the correlation of the advanced placement program science courses in high school, and the medical school admission test for minority students. I am committed to the increase in African American Students acceptance into US Medical Schools.
